Caller ID/Contacts picture very crappy quality. Why?

When I set a picture for the caller id/contacts in my phone and that person calls or I call them the picture is CRAP quality.

Why? How do I fix this? The factory Android picture is good quality, why are MY phones pure crap?

How do I fix this please, it's driving me CRAZY.

Mine's the same way. I hope someone's got a solution. My old flip phone had better quality caller id photos.

Because the images are being pulled and resolution lowered from your gmail/gvoice and not done locally on the phone. Try adding the photo locally, that should work.

Here is the workaround ... pretty kludgy. Hopefully an update addresses this.
