Calling deleted contacts

My wife says she didn't call but on our bill, a deleted contact was called 5 times in 2 months. On the bill it also shows calls received from same deleted contact with a 7 min duration.
Is this phone gone crazy or do I have problems with my wife?

If this is that important to you, then I'd suggest discussing it with your carrier. They would be best able to explain what's going on.
