Help calling from text screen

I got a galaxy s5 and I loooove it! But it makes calls when I hit the home key or the lock screen button from a text message about 60% of the time. I'm constantly calling people when I don't mean to. Can this be turned off?

im not sure how this is happening. i cant get it to happen on my phone.

I suspect that you have the Home Key activated to "Answer/Disconnect" phone calls.

I loved that option UNTIL a lot of problems started showing up.

Like, ring ring..... nothing..... then I get a voice mail.... why didn't you talk to me? You answered your phone.... !@#$%%

Then I realized that when the phone rang, just ordinary movements would press the key hard enough to activate it in my shirt pocket.

I turned that feature OFF and all is good in Hoboken, Oklahoma now.
