calls automatically muting while talking

why does my phone mute callers out while I am talking to them. I am not doing anything but holding the phone to my ear. Before this happens is sounds like a vibrating foghorn. Does this happen to anyone else and if so PLEASE help me solve the problem.

If the phone is vibrating (and it isn't a notification) that sounds like a hardware issue. I would contact the carrier.

There have been phones that have had a bug that muted calls. Maybe if you joined forums and checked the folders for your phone, you could see if others have had that same problem. Sometimes other users find work-arounds that they are more than willing to share.
