Help Calls cutting out on HSPA+ network

I don't know what to do. I've had the Razr for about 40 days, and on the weekend the call quality plummeted. People kept cutting out even though I have great signal strength, get no error messages and data usage seems uninterrupted.

I switched it to 2G only (Edge network) and it seemed to stop.

Is this likely a hardware issue? Sim card? Network? My friend is with the same provider and his iPhone is fine, as was mine before the Razr.

I just don't know what to do. Sending my phone to Motorola for warranty work seems ludicrous given that it's a month old and it's not even a given that there's a hardware issue. It's like I might as well go back to my iPhone 3gs and sell the damn thing.

FYI I don't have the LTE version. I live in Canada and they only have the 3G version. I've also done a factory reset and it did not resolve the issue.

Any suggestions? I'm a little clueless when it comes to cell phone tech.

Many are experiencing the same problem...it might be a bug, lets wait for the next update and see what happens

Hmmm, well I guess there's no harm waiting. ICS is supposed to come out for us in Q2.

IMO, shit call quality is embarrassing for a $600 phone. That's like the number 1 thing to get right. It's a phone first and foremost for crying out loud.

Guess I will just switch to 2G every time I want to make a call until the update... :/
