Help Camera brightness?

Ok whenever the stock sense camera app is launched the brightness shoots up to the highest. This is annoying sometimes especially if it's dark outside and you turn on the camera. You'll get instant blindness lol. Any way to remove this setting? (besides using a different camera app, I find this one to have some of the best quality)

Is that in 3D?
Asking because I get brighter pictures from 3D and darker in 2D with the settings the same.
In view mode there also seems to be a boost in brightness when changing from 2D to 3D, sort of flashes a moment.

Oh, and it could just be the Auto ISO setting you're dealing with there. Dark conditions is going to increase the exposure gain. You might try putting it on the lowest number for that, but of course it'll make pictures in the dark more... uh... dark.

I've noticed that as well with the stock camera app only. I've not figured out a way to make it stop. Typically when I exit out of the camera the brightness will take a second or two to go back down.
