Help Camera button now opens text? WTF!

Ok, I don't have ChompSMS, never have, I do however have Handcent SMS downloaded but this isn't the app that opens when I press the camera button. It's the default messaging application. There is no setting for "shortcuts" or whatever has been created with my camera button. Any ideas?
 
Try pressing the physical "back" button. If you recently sent a picture text message, you will be directed to where that picture was last used, so if you hit back, you should be back at the camera.
 
If I push the designated camera button it opens up a new message window rather than the camera application. If I then hit back it just goes to my last screen. The button has been changed somehow to correspond with the texting app but I can't figure out how to get it back.
