Camera-controlled brightness

Okay, I’ll just talk to myself. Seems to me that this scheme needs a front-facing (second) camera to work properly. With only a rear-facing camera, holding the phone in my hand would prevent the camera from gauging the surrounding light. I’d have to turn the phone over to let the camera read the light, but as soon as I put it back in my hand, it’ll just flip back... right?

I personally do not see a need for this. I keep auto brightness on and it does a good job at controlling the brightness of the display.
