Root Camera! Doh!!

Loving Spirit rom something fierce but man these 3rd party cameras are something else. Got to be something better than CameraMX!! Crashes a lot. Any suggestions??
 
I haven't tried Spirit, but I have tried a few of the other KK builds along with a half dozen different camera apps and they all seem to have the same problem. Especially with video, it seems basically unusable... So I went back to JB.

Have u tried candy kat ?
 
Yes, stock kernel. Phenom included a patch later. See if it helps. I never had the problems that the patch fixed, so I can't vouch for it one way or another.
 
Going to give open camera another go. Tried it a few versions back wasnr functioning to good. If that doesnt help Im going back to 4.1.2

It was a while back but the crashes plus the lack of video was a deal breaker. So yeah, I might mess with it a bit more, but I thought the same and went back to JB.
The posts on here have died down, looks unfortunately like development has stopped... anyone hear differently? Would be a shame.
 
I'm here waiting for testing phen is also helping on another phone so he has a full plate :) can't wait tell cm12 has dialer and 3g service he did good job on getting this diamond in the ruff going strong
 
Im still here and still working on stock rom. Almost got it where I want it. Will upload it to a good host s oon and share it with everyone. Been running it through a lot of use after removing some apps I wasn't sure exactly what they were for like keychain.apk,etc that do drain battery and reworking the theme Im using. Got DSPmanager working pretty well,only hiccup it has is if you leave on touch sounds in settings. Doesn't crash anything just soumds odd hearing the touch sound drown out the music. Not really a bug,just an oddity of this rom.

Key chain apk if rember right for storing passwords I might b wrong
 
You are correct sir lol. In my zeal to eradicate every useless apk I can...sadly some of the needed ones encounter my harassment.
