camera failed grrrrr

I have a Samsung galaxy s3. Have had it for a while but every time I get on camera it gives camera failed error message. I have tried everything including reboot but still nothing. I was wondering if I put a new cam in the phone should that possibly fix it or maybe it could be the batter because I have a weak one but have a new battery orderd

What exactly have you tried?

Try going to (I haven't got my wife's S3 to hand to give the precise steps, but) settings>General>application manager>all>camera and clearing it's cache and data. This will totally reset it.
Apart from that, software fixes wise it might be worth a factory reset (this will make the phone at like fresh out of the box and delete all your data, but not media stored on your external/removable SD card. Everything else will be deleted)

I have already done all of that including factory reset. Still nothing. I also checked the camera connection and nothing
