Camera Flash and Sounds?

Is there a way to turn off the flash and/or the shutter sound of the camera when taking a picture?

Flash Mode says auto under it, but the box is grayed out and I cannot select it to change it.

This is the same for the auto focus feature, I am unable to select that as well.

No way to shut the shutter sound off yet that I have read, but the flash you can turn off by changing your scene mode to "auto."

You sure you weren't holding the picture button on the phone down slightly? Cuz i can change flash settings easily.

Silent your phone completely. It will not make any sounds when you take a picture.

Certain camera settings get greyed out when you chose certain shooting modes.

As for the sound like drumcrazy said, put the phone on silent. You can use the volume rocker in camera mode just "long press" the volume down and it will go to silent and you're AF and shutter noises will be gone. The clicking noise while AFing is mechanical. That won't go away.
