Help camera geo-location slow to get fix

Is there a way to trick or force the desire's camera application to accept a-gps as geo-tag? Desire's true gps take too long to get a fix, usually takes minutes, it is faster to grab a pen and paper to write down in lengthy detail where the picture was taken than it is to wait for the gps to find my loaction.

The app in CM7 appears to do this, but I can't seem to find a separate apk install file for it

I know this is an old thread that has been resurrected for no real reason....but this made me laugh quite a bit
