Camera+GPS+Compass

Hi.
First wonder if there are an application that merge GPS+Compas in a photo, so the tags of the photo you may see bearing, GPS-coordinates beside other photo information. Even data from the gyro could be nice. I have a ZTE-skate with 2.3.5 original ROM and the 4D-compass work indoors, so there are boot compass and a gyroscope in the phone. The data could also be saved as a text-file with the same file-name as the photo.

/Cheers

On my phone, to have geotags on photos, I just go into the camera settings and put a check mark on the GPS option. Check yours.

How are you looking at it? The position data is going to be a coordinate in the photo's metadata. You need an app that looks into that, or on your PC. The street address thing you see on the gallery isn't the positioning data that is embedded into your picture, that's just a gallery feature which shows the nearest address based on the embedded data on the picture.

I have checked in the phone on the photos 'information' and if I chose 'view on map'. I think place-data are exported to google maps, cos ortophoto is a the map. it say the photo is taken in nearest village near 1km away.

I have also in 'My tracks' allowed other application to access GPS data.

I don't have any speciall tag-reader program on my Ubuntu machine, I use F-spot photo program. Don't have any Windows.

For to show the "true" place in Google Maps you have to edit the coordinates:
Put "loc:" without space in front of coordinates.

You'd try it with Maps search input window :)

Or use an other maps app like 'Maverick'.
