Help camera icon? help

tarz

Lurker
My daughter got hold of my phone. And when I went to take pictures later I noticed a phone icon in the the top right of the camera screen. What is this and how do I remove. I'm not sure if it's related but my phone won't focus properly now. And I have it on auto focus. Please help

I think that icon has probably always been there - it's not very noticeable. It indicates that your pictures will be stored to phone memory. If you go into Settings, near the bottom you'll find that you can choose where to save the images. If you elect to save to the memory card, the camera icon will change to a memory card icon.

With regard to the camera not focusing properly, have you been through all the options carefully? Maybe she's set it to a scene mode, or something else which can over-ride the autofocus?

When you say it isn't focusing, is that when trying to take a picture, or while just pointing it and looking at the screen? I've had once or twice when I went to take a pic, and the screen was all blurry and out of focus, and it wasn't focusing on anything. But as soon as I pressed the shutter button, it immediately focused perfectly.
