Camera lag on start up

I have the VZ version. Love the phone. When I use the camera, there is a significant delay in it booting up. Do others notice that? Is there a work around? Thanks for your advice.

Mine does the same thing. Almost 2 seconds to open the app.

Before opening the camera open the recent apps and close them all. Maybe the camera will open quicker with less processes running

That solved it. But if you want to take a fast picture, and you do that step, it is not any quicker.

A bunch of reviews before the phone was released said it was about 1.5 to 2 seconds slower then the S4 to open. I can deal with it since the pictures are faster.

I have to laugh at how far we've come with technology. I remember my first computer, I would turn it on, go into the kitchen, make a sandwich and by the time I returned, it would be done booting up into DOS. Now, we complain after waiting two seconds.

I was experiencing a delay not just in boot up of the camera, but in the actual picture taking. Turning off picture stabilization helped immensely with that.
