Help Camera light/flash

Does anyone know if you can get the x10 to flash when using the camera instead of having to manually turn it on and then blind everyone you are trying to take a picture of.

I thought with the gingerbread update this may have been sorted as the Sony Arc has a proper LED Flash without having to go into settings just to switch it on.

I would of thought Sony of all manufacturer's would of realised that it would be better if it auto flashed on the Xperia X10.

If I rooted the phone with the Wolf custom gingerbread for the arc would this make the flash work on the X10?
