Help camera not working - rooted

A few weeks ago the camera stopped working - it just hangs when I select camera and I end up having to force close, and the flashlight app doesnt light up the flash LED. Any ideas what's wrong? Should I try a factory reset?

Rooted with dGB over a year ago.
 
I'd try erasing cache and dalvik before doing a factory reset. After that, try reflashing the ROM (without a wipe).

Have you installed anything else lately that might use either? Or changed radio or similar?
