Help Camera not working

I just wanted to post this in case someone can offer a solution before I take it in for repair. My camera hasn't been working for awhile now. Whenever I open any application that would use the camera (stock, 360, barcode scanner etc.) It lingers on a black screen then eventually backs out and either says nothing, or gives an error message saying it couldn't be opened. I've been having some issues with other programs force closing occasionally (most notably tunewiki). So I have no idea what it could be. I decided to do a hard reset to see what would happen, and its all still the same except now when I open a camera application it stays on the black screen like before and after a few minutes says tap to active camera. When I do that it waits again, then just exits to home screen.

Same exact thing happened to me today. I was just about to try the hard reset. I'd be really appreciative if someone could assist. If it helps -I've been using the bar code function a lot - don't know if that matters. Help!?

Actually, I hadn't done a full reset properly. I just got it back to factory settings now, and the camera seems to be working again. I have absolutely no idea what I did to break it initially, but its fine now.

Welcome to the forums!

Before trying the hard reset, maybe first try removing the battery for 60 seconds, then powering back up and re-trying.
