Camera not working

Just wondering if there is an easy fix to this one.... My wife's phone kept losing all its battery if when she wasn't using it through the day. Every now and then the flash would just randomly go off and loads of apps would be running. I have installed the App Killer to deal with that but now she can't get her camera to work, it just starts up with a black screen. I have tried clearing the cache via Apps2SD

Any ideas?

Backup contacts, contents of sd card to pc etc and then do a factory reset. See if that helps at all.
