Camera on the Pixel 4

I'm sceptical of 8x optical zoom - to get that (relative to the main camera, which is what people usually mean) within the physical constraints of the body would mean a very small sensor indeed for the telephoto, which compromises quality. Or some folded optics game - that adds to the size & complexity of the camera module, but if I were asked to design such a thing I'd do that rather than shrink the sensor.

My own guess though is that 8x is a misunderstanding or over-enthusiastic speculation.

Probably, and with everyone else going 3 cameras, it's already odd Google is sticking with (it appears) 2. Telephoto is probably cooler than ultra wide, but as long as it improves on the benchmark the 3 made I think we good....

But yea, 8x would be hard to believe (optical at least)

Bit unfortunate that the Twitter thread turned into a series of complaints about problems with other devices.

I felt sorry for the poor person having to type that dreadfully corporate "that's not the experience we want you to have" over and over again. Do the people who write these scripts ever include "does that sound like anything a human being would say?" in their criteria?

Even so, some other members of Team Bliss are talking about taking on a Pixel 4 and are in process of some wallpapers as well..
