Help Camera on xoom has lost liveview

Well not sure what has happened but noticed the other day that when i go to shoot a picture, the screen is blank or black and the live view is gone. I can still take pictures by just guessing the angle or shot and hitting the button. It then outs a small thumbnail of the new shot on the lower left of where the usual live view screen was. Not sure if this has just started after the 4 g upgrade or what. Anybody know how to get the live view back? I've gone through all the setting and don't see any options.

try a VOLUME up button PLUS the power button to restart the device.

try again.

if no dice,

go into applications and force close the camera app.

restart,

if that does not work, you may have to do a factory reset.
