Camera picture quality

First I am sorry if I am not posting in the right place. I recently got the EVO shift and was wondering if an app exists that would improve the picture quality taken with the camera. It seems like you have to keep your hand so perfectly still to get a clean picture. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I actually was impressed with the images from the Shift. They can't compete with those from my point and shoot, but pictures I have taken outdoors are pretty good. So are most of the ones I took indoors with the flash (and objects within the flash-effectiveness distance). If there is not enough lighting available, your pictures may be a it blurry, remember, it's just a phone camera.

I have the same issue with mine. The pictures I've taken were really really bad. So bad I deleted them immediately.

Like I've already mentioned in another topic, download an app called Vignette (i got the paid version). it has a very nice option called steady shot and it won't take a picture unless your hand is completely steady not to take any blurry pictures and a LOT LOT more options and effects. check it out.

You're all crazy!
I've had 3 blackberrys, and if you twitched a sliver more than the steadiest neuro surgen then the world, then your picture was going to be blurry.

Needless to say, you can be jumping up and down and still have the pic be clear. Before you snap the picture, be sure you have given the camera a chance to properly zoom and focus on the objects in front of it. then snap the pic. Im extreamly pleased and impressed with the photo quality. IMO

I'm not much of a picture taker, but I've got to agree with you, I've been VERY impressed with the photo quality of the shift. I'll be honest, I'm not very knowledgeable about cameras, but my old palm pre had an 8MP camera, and the shfit has a 5MP; but it seems as though the shift is taking better pictures.

One issue I've had is my fault completely, I keep touching the lens with my fingers, leaving it all muddled and dirty. I'd suggest trying to wipe off your lens and see if that's the problem.

I thought my new EVO shift camera sucked too, until I realized the store left the plastic on, after putting on the phone case! I took it off and it is actually pretty good, lol. I came from the BB 3 mp camera myself so this should be an improvement! ;)

I thought the picture quality is actually decent. I notice when i first take the picture, its blurry then the image does an enhancement effect and wah lah! a descent picture. What kind of irritates me is when i compare my 5mp shift camera to my friends 3mp(iphone) -.-

and his picture quality looks better.

I love the quality of the pictures my phone takes, for a cell phone i think they look great. I have soooo many pictures that i have taken with it, and most people think i took them with an actual camera. honestly i have had many cellphones and this camera is one of the best i have seen yet!

I switched from the htc hero recently and i thought this camera was loads better. very sharp image. Bass man doesnt complain if i send a pic from this phone either.
