Root camera problem

The application Camera(process com.sonyericsson.andriod.camera) has stopped unexpectedly.
Please try again.

I get this every time. Tired going back to previous versions and still the same problem. The only recent update I did was a GO Ex theme install

Have you tried clearing the cache and data associated with the camera app via the settings menu?

Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> All -> Camera (or whatever it's called on your handset) -> Clear Cache/Data.

yes...that is not the fix.

Does it happen with an alternative camera app, Camera 360 for example?

no other camera apps work just fine. only the Ericson camera

Then I would advise running an update given what you have tried to fix this so far:

Easiest fix....reset to factory default.

Whatever you did, you broke it.

Guess uninstalling the Go Theme didn't help.

You could do a little more than just clearing cache too.

Open Settings->Applications->Manage Apps->All Tab->Camera->then Clear Cache and make sure the add is NOT on the SD card....click Clear Data and at the bottom Clear Defaults. Then at the top click Force Stop.

Back out of all that and try and open the camera app again
