Help camera problems

I have a HTC phone and when I go to take a picture it looks like faint camo stripes are on all the pics and when I look through the camera. Any ideas would be helpful

Some new phones will have a thin plastic film over the camera lens for shipping and needs to be removed.

Could be the "camo stripes" are from lettering on a protective film, spelling something like "Remove before use" or "Made in China" or "Causes cancer in the state of California", etc.

It's like it's on the screen not the actual camera almost like a camera filter bc it's not on the screen all the time like now on the internet it's not there, just when I take a pic, also it's not all the time, most of the time but not all of the time

Only other thing I can think of to try would be a different camera app. I have always used stock so i wouldn't know what to recommend. See what is available at the Play Store and give a few a test drive.

I think I see what you mean,almost zebra stripes of light/dark from lower left to upper right. Not sure what would cause it.
