Camera rumors - Brightcell, dual camera?

Phases

NO LONGER ADMIN
Nowadays a good smartphone camera goes a long, long way for me. We have a Nikon D7000 and several lenses that get used literally maybe 2 times a year. It is such a nice, nice camera - but we just don't bother toting it around. Our phone pictures are... okay. They aren't the best but it's just so convenient.

Any up in camera quality is more than welcome in our house. The S7's camera sounds like it might be pretty nice.

I haven't had an S series phone before but, friends have, they seem to like the cameras..

This looks like it will take the camera to another level, very interesting.

I'm actually very pleased with the S5 camera. Any improvement in the low light close focus would be appreciated, however.

The latest rumours are saying that it's 1/2.5" but 12Mpix, which gives 1.4micron pixels rather than 1.12micron of the S6.

I've been amused at some sites today waxing lyrical about how huge this sensor is, since it's actually about the same size as the S6 sensor. But fewer and larger pixels is the correct direction to go IMO, so I'm glad to see a number of manufacturers thinking this way (Nexus 5X and 6P and the forthcoming HTC M10/Perfume are other examples).

(I admit that I supplement my SLRs with a Panasonic LX7 which I carry most places, but even then there are times when I don't have that with me. So improvements in phone cameras are welcome, even if it's not a make or break feature for me).
