I had an S2 for almost 3 years and over the last year or so the only reason I've been wanting a new phone is because the camera performance was getting bad. Particularly after having a baby, trying to capture pictures of her was really hard, the colour and vibrance just wasn't there, it took a long time to focus and take the shot, I put up with the pink spot for all that time, the glare of the flash was beginning to show in the corner of pictures. I feel like I have missed so many memories in pictures because at key moments when I thought "let's take a picture!" the thought has been over-ruled by "but my S2's camera is crap so I'll leave it" (or use the wife's S3).Anyone with a new Nexus that had an S2 before? I've had an S2 the past 2 years and always thought the camera was very good. Low light and flash pictures could be better but thought it was fine for a phone camera.
That said, how would you say the Nexus 5 camera stacks up against the S2?
Otherwise, I loved my S2, infact I'm gonna keep it to play with custom ROMs and be a test phone. But I needed a better camera. But so happy I got the N5, the camera is awesome. Been snapping away at my daughter so effortlessly and the photos are superb.
Nexus 5 vs S2 camera = no competition, N5 wins hands down.
