I am eligible for a phone upgrade in January. I am likely going to get the Epic 4G Touch (I have the original Epic now). I do have a question about the camera shutter sound. I have read some people say that you will get a shutter sound regardless of what the volume settings are on. For example, even if all sounds (media / phone / notification) are silent, you will still hear the sound. Is this correct?
With my current phone, the shutter sound does sound. I worked around it by rooting and flashing a camera.apk that someone on the XDA website created that removed the sounds. I supposed I could do something similar to the Epic Touch?
