Camera Shutter Sound

Hey peeps, IIRC, each carrier is different. On Verizon I don't think there's a shutter sound setting on the camera. But a quick rocker volume down for the phone also silents the shutter.

I have a Sprint GS3 , there is no setting to turn shutter sound off. :-(
Go to Apps:
Find Smart Stay App...Round/Black/Red...it's the app that watches your eyes..
Don't see it? Go to Play...Load free Lite....open App, 2nd setting to off...make sure at top that it is set to Off also

Don't know if this works for everyone, but it works for me (I'm on Verizon btw).

Google "enforced stream silencer"

Mod's: I apologize if this is not allowed, but it just a simple .apk.

Get Tasker and use it to create a task to turn the phone on silent when you start the camera app, then turn off silent mode when you exit the camera app. Easy to do and works like a charm.

Could you possibly PM me and tell me exactly what to do? I just got the phone and downloaded tasker but have NO idea how to use it. Would appreciate any help! TIA-Dawn

Putting phone on vibrate or mute worked for me but I would have to remember to actually change the settings before and after taking pic. Downloaded Tasker and set up a profile and it works perfectly, silencing camera shutter when camera is opened and then turning volume back to normal when closing it. Unfortunately Tasker cost $6.50 in play store but to me worth it.

Hopefully between the 2 of you someone will get back to me. I just got the phone and downloaded tasker and have no idea how to use it. Could you PM me or even post here step by step.. I'm not techie. At all. TIA-Dawn
