Camera Sound... New Thread

New Android user long time forum user.

So got my first android phone, and now have a problem. I was out this evening listening to music, and trying to take photos.

Problem 1) sound. I want to take photos with the shutter sound off. I was able to do this on my iphone, I can do this on my canon 5d, yet somehow I cannot do this on my galaxy note 2, am I missing something, I've been through all the options.

Problem 2) possibly related. If sound is muted the speaker does not make the shutter sound, and this is the primary issue, it over rides my music ( briefly lowers the volume, takes photo, resumes photo.) This may seem insignificant, however as a photographer ( educated as, and practicing ) this is seriously annoying. I just want to get high, take photos and listen to music. this wasn't a problem on my iphone (3gs), trying to figure it out here. Please help.

What country are you in? Please be noted that several countries have outlawed camera devices without shutter sounds. Most notable of this is Korea. Not sure about China. If I remember correctly there is a Bill in the US legislature regarding this. So many of the newer phones are releasing camera apps whose shutter sound cannot be removed.

Of course there is a way around this, as several camera apps in the market allow silent shooting.
