Camera speed (app launch and shutter lag)

How is the camera speed on the RAZR? By that I mean the time to launch the app and snap a picture. My current phone took a completely unacceptable 13.8 seconds from unlock to first picture snapped - by this time whatever I wanted to photograph is usually gone.

Can someone do a stopwatch test on their RAZR?

9 seconds...pressed unlock button, unlocked screen, opened camera app on my homescreen, pressed capture, took photo.

Just took me about 6 seconds. Hit the power button, instead of unlocking the phone I went straight to the camera app and snapped a picture (this includes the time required to auto-focus). The good thing about the RAZR is right when you hit the power button, you can go directly to the camera app and snap a picture right away without even unlocking your phone.

well i wanted to follow their steps ...i unlocked it using the camera icon and it took 7 seconds, including the flash.
