Help Camera won't save to "Camera" gallery?

So I have a "camera" album in the gallery which shows recently snapped photos. I just took a few more photos and noticed they didn't show up in the gallery, but when I started the camera app and hit the "review" arrow button, I saw the photos I had taken (that weren't in the gallery) and was still able to navigate to the previously taken shots that DO appear in the gallery.

What gives?

which camera app are you using? the default location is SD card\DCIM\ ...\
sometimes when you use a different app they want to create their own folder

I have the same problem. The pictures either don't appear in the gallery or they are blank rectangles. I think it happened after I installed Snap Photo and then uninstalled it.

Edit: I'm also not using the Samsung Fascinate
