Help Camera wont work

Hi,

When I push the camera button on the side, the phone vibrates, but wont go to the camera. When I go into my apps and select camera/camcorder a camera error message comes up that says "cannot connect to camera." But after I try opening the camera, it shows that the camera is running in the running applications menu. My gallery also wont open. It has worked ever since I bought the phone, but recently stopped working. Is there a way to fix it?
 
If the phone is vibrating when you hit the camera button, that means the camera app is crashing. Locate both the Camera and Gallery apps under Settings-Applications-Manage Applications-All. For each one (Camera and Gallery app only) when you open them tap on Clear Data, Clear Cache, and Force Stop.

After you've backed out of the settings, try to run your camera again. If it still crashes you might want to think about factory resetting the phone (if no one else comes up with another solution, but hopefully someone will). Sometimes for whatever reasons files can get corrupt and a factory reset can help.

Only consider the factory reset if your phone is unrooted.
