Help camera zooms in after taking photo

I just started having a problem with my stock camera app's zoom function. When I zoom all the way in or close to it, after I take the photo, the camera zooms in even more and my resulting photo is cropped compared to what I intended. this makes it difficult to take photos, obviously. anyone know how to fix this? I tried resetting camera settings back to default but that didn't work.

Mine has been doing this too. Not sure if it is recent or just something I never noticed before.

try clearing settings and cache in the Camera app?

I noticed my phone doing that as well. But now that I just transferred to another thunderbolt they sent to me as a replacement the new phone isn't doing it. Not sure why or what would be causing it to be doing it on the other phones and your phones. But it drove me nuts and I kind of gotten use to it on the other phone but with the new (replacement phone) it seems to be not doing it anymore.

Maybe someone will have a solution.
