I did a search on the forums and was unable to find an answer. How do I disable the camera "shutter" sound on my Droid 2? TIA. Don

you have to root.

or you can find a audio manager on the market and turn system volume all the way down.
i recommend Audio Manager Widget.

If you use vignette for your default camera it has an option to disable the shutter sound.
