after you take a picture, can i set a quick review without going in to gallery to view it?

Try touching the button on the bottom left of the display. Works on my phone, diff model thou.

Yeah, there's a small preview on the bottom left of the camera app, click on it to see the picture you've just taken.

I believe he is asking if he can have the photo display full screen for a couple seconds before going back to the camera, not having to select the gallery button at the bottom left of the screen.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to find any setting for this in the stock camera. However, perhaps try downloading FXCamera from the play store, it offers lots of features including pause to preview after a shot I believe.
