Campus Wifi?

Snow_Fox

I know there has been more than one issue with people connecting to campus wifi from android phones.

The problem I am having is my school wants me to enter my user name and password for the school so that it can register my NIC, and unfortunately when I attempt to browse it does not redirect me properly.

I tried entering the website it redirects to manually and then it said it was unavailable!

I've tried

Firefox
Opera mini
Dolphin
Stock browser.

any suggestions? I can connect to wifi no problem, I can't verify the NIC..

The registration process is poorly coded apparently which makes sense, seeing as it worked on my laptop and destkop version of fire fox but, not my phone.

Any suggestions?

xScope, always xScope.;) It's the best browser out there.

I highly recommend getting the older (and I argue better... their new version STILL does not have the capabilities of the old versio) version from their website for free.

When you get xScope, go into the settings and change it between mobile/desktop and see if it makes a difference for you. I bet if you set it to recognize your phone as a desktop computer it might work.

Good luck!

I seem to have this problem. My college wifi will automatically take the browser to the connection page. Sometimes, I end up with issues. I use Dolphin HD, so all I do is exit, and reopen it and it goes right to login page, and works from them.

I am very happy with Dolphin, Firefox, and stock browser. All of those do exactly what I want.

I read a few people resolved this by going to Fro Yo.

Cog 3.03 here I come.. finally found an excuse to flash.

When I'm logging in to my campus account I usually redirect my browser to google and that pulls up the login site, doesn't seem to work for other sites just google, kind of strange but it works
