Can a BYOD phone be activated at a Cricket store?

This is probably a stupid question, and I know you can activate a BYOD phone online or on the phone, but I was wondering if theres an option activate it at my local Cricket store?

Yes as long as it is unlocked, AT&T phones that are not unlocked will also work. I've even heard of some that did not have an unlocked phone work, so I would say yes !!

Just tell them if they do you will activate it online, and simply buy the Sim card from them, they will most likely waive the activation fee, because they want the referral. ;)

So I just switched my number to cricket today. been a couple hours. calls still go to voicemail and i dont get texts. wondering how long it supposed to take for transfer to go through after activation. chatted with cricket on chat. they told me 8 hours, at latest midnight. then they told told me to cut off phone and they would try to reconnect and try to bump up transfer. but still no change. im wondering if theres something wrong or if i should wait and see if service gets going by midnight. has anyone else had this issue? i thought the transfer was supposed to happen relatively quickly.

I noticed once I turned off the wifi, I could get calls. Is there any way to change this? As in keep wifi on and get calls, or can only data be on?

We need more info about your device to pinpoint the issue. WiFi on or off should not block the ability to receive or make calls.

I merged all your post in one thread, to make it easier to follow your issues with you device, no need to open a thread for a new question, use this thread as your and we can follow all your issues here.

Now usually when you activate a new line it can take up to 4 to 8 hours for all to migrate. So if you are still having issues making and receiving calls with WiFi on or off, then we will need more info on your device.

Now if you are still having issues with your device, then I'll move this thread to your proper device forum, once you let us know what device you currently have, now that you are activated, so others with the same device can help you as that section will be more relevant to resolving your issue.

One thing you can try first to see if it resolves your issue, try a device reboot, see if that helps first.
