Can android extend Google Finance ?

I would like to know, can android extend Google Finance?(the way it extends Google maps)
I mean can i get a scrip's(A scrip belonging to my portfolio) performance on my android supported mobile?
Any pointers in this direction would really help ...

I am new to android technology but have a decent experience in java programming ..
