Can Asus charger be used for USB devices

I think I read somewhere that the power supply for the Prime can produce 5V as well as 15V. Has anybody tried using it on their USB devices? It would cut down on the number of chargers I have to take away with me but I would hate to try it and fry my phone.

I have used it to charge my Evo 3D without any issues.

I've used it to charge my Samsung GS2.

I use mine to charge other stuff all the time. Never damaged any of them.
