Can I add contacts to Phone w/o adding to gmail?

I want to add a contact just to my phone and not to my gmail account. Whenever I start to add a contact (phone, 208544...., menu, +contact, create new contact,) the next thing it forces me to do is to choose an account to create the new contact under and it lists my 3 gmail accounts. I have no option to just put it on the phone. Any ideas here? We do the same thing on the Incredible but it gives us the gmail account and the phone to choose from but not on the motorolla. Thanks.

On your PC, "maybe" you can create a folder/group that doesn't sync. Only other option is no sync at all.

My Youtube is synced with my phone.. it allows me to choose between gmail and youtube as my contact.. just another option for you to ponder.

Thanks for the ideas. Will probably just create a random gmail account to throw these contacts into.

Not a bad idea - it seems that this would work.
