Can I cellular data while on WiFi?

I disconnected my Comcast a few weeks ago and have been using mobile hotspot for my home Internet which has been working great so far!

I still have everything available on my home network and would like to try this streaming thing to my Samsung tv that is only a year old. The tv is on the network but I lose internet when I connect to my home network

Any ideas?

I saw on the last XDA TV videos that someone created an app that allows you to use data and wifi at the same time (root required), so what you are asking is probably possible too... But who know how.
