Can I do this?

I live in the UK if that affects any following advice...

I recently bought an HTC Incredible S on the Orange network, with a 24 month text/call/data package. However, I'm not really getting on with the phone (lots of issues with reception) but seem stuck with it for 2 years, which I'm kinda dreading.

Is it possible to stick the 24 month SIM into another phone? For instance, if I bought a new phone on Pay and Go and put it in there? Are UK carriers happy to help with this, or not?

If youve got reception issues it's more than likely due to orange's network coverage in your area than your phone. Complain to orange as a first step, if the coverage is really bad for you then you may be able to cancel the contract... not sure of your legal rights on this, maybe somebody on here knows more about it.

Unless of course your previously phone worked fine on orange, in which case it could be the phone, in which case you should take it back and get it exchanged.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I agree on the coverage issue - I've already had the phone exchanged once and that did seem to improve things slightly. This is my first time on Orange and I don't *think* it's the network itself. For instance, the phone really struggles to pick up wifi signal in my home and reception can fluctuate wildly for no apparent reason when I hold it.
