can I foward text msgs to my email????

lol all u hjave to do is instead of forwarding to a number u just forward to a email no apps needed im sure every1 here knows about your number@mymetropcs.com works vice versa.
Never heard of that... then again, I'm fairly new to some of this stuff.

My question is why if you want a transcript of your conversation would you forward to your number@mymetropcs.com, all that would do is come back to your phone?
The app auto uploads your SMS to your Gmail in a printable transcript.

U didn't read my response correctly I was stating that we can send anything to our email via SMS and vice versa u clearly didn't take it time reading.There's no need for apps or anything my personal advice ? Take snapshots of the actual SMS convo along with forwarding the actual sms to email. If ya want to try forwarding SMS messages just type in your email at top instead of a number and hit send

Your way It seems that if you had a long conversation that it would require you to forward each line. That may be time consuming.On stock ROM I didn't see a batch mode to forward whole conversation at once.
I'm a real Noob. Please explain the your steps.

my phone forwards more than 160 characters even mms messages
Edit: ok i just made another discovery i used up 1000 chracters to forward to gmail and this is what i got
lol u wanted a downloadable transcript there u go u wanted to print it there u go no apps needed, things to point out ive only tried this with gmail if u dont get same results with another email then try gmail anyways glad i found this thread i learned something new.

100+ lines of sms..Sender and Recipient
Forwarding each line one at a time..10 minutes later i have a 100+ emailed text.
Am i missing something?

I had to do the same thing for the same reasons, a court case involving my kids and some text messages I felt needed to be seen by the judge. I know there is apps out there that will send the texts for you but I went with the screenshots, even though the screen shot only showed like 3-4 texts per shot and then I had to take another the judge was VERY happy that the papers I brought in actually showed both of our pictures next to our text, of course you have to have her picture and name saved in your contacts for it to work that way. OR... You could have both, texts and a screenshot by using this app then from your computer it will also show all of your messages and you can take a screenshot from you computer and try it that way

U got a point there, wanting to send both sides of the convo would be tricky I guess in conclusion snapshots and actual transcript would be needed in such a case since the transcript could modified but a snapshot with contact number is a different case
