Since Note 2 is different from other Android (aka S-Pen usage, multi-window, etc.), I would wait for Samsung to push 4.2 out rather than get an "aftermarket" 4.2 which may not be compatible with everything Note 2 has to offer.

Are you missing something in 4.2???
