Load the .zip file on your sd card and load it using recovery. No wifi or network needed, just a computer.

On the PDF its says you cannot be on wifi you have to be on the Mobile network to reciceve it

I was just wondering if somebody could verify that you have to be on the 3g rather than WIFI to get the ota 2.1 update. I have seen conflicting replies on this situation. Thanks.

OTA = Over The Air... which implies (and means) over the cellular network.
The network has to tell your phone that it's available, and it won't do that through WiFi. Basically if you were on WiFi only, the phone doesn't go tell Verizon "here I am! I am a Droid!".
