Root Can I Install A Custom Kernel That Supports Ext2 On Droid 3?

Showboo

Lurker
After rooting my Droid, I decided to flash a deodexed Rom. Now, I want to run Linux using "Linux Installer" off the Market. However, my kernel is still the stock one.
Can I install a custom Kernel onto it, and how?
Where would I be able to find a custom kernel for the Droid 3 that won't brick my phone and support ext2 filesystem for Linux.
