Can I install the stock video player on a custom ROM (MIUI)?

I installed the MIUI ROM, which I think is great, but am curious to understand if I can somehow install the stock video player (the one that came 'out of the box' installed with TouchWiz). Is the apk available anywhere?

I am currently using diceplayer, but I'd like to compare it to the Samsung player, which I didn't try before rooting the phone and installing MIUI. I am particularly interested in playing back idx/sub, whether stored as external files or embedded in a mkv, which diceplayer currently doesn't support.

I'm certain that stock apps don't work on cyanogenmod and since miui it's based on that and they're both aosp roms I'm going to say you can't.
