Help Can I reinstall latest firmware?

Kies-downloaded 2.3.6 onto my Ace. One or two - can't be more specific, sorry - downloads/rooting later it began acting up:
The lock screen vanished.
The home key stopped working on long or short presses but not - thank god - in Recovery or at unlock (so not hardware failure).
Some force-closes are appearing: adservice and DRM processes, it says.

The quickest solution seems to be to reinstall the firmware. I can download 2.3.5 - XXKPO - from samsdroid.com and install that but would rather reinstall the above stock FW. Is this file/folder still on my Ace or on the PC such that I can just re-run it? Or can I safely fiddle with my Ace to make Kies install it again?

Any sage advice, folks?

During its short stay, I have been most impressed with 2.3.6's battery life compared with the Froyo that was on it.

Don't woory most of the stock firmwares are available on samfirmware.com, you can change your firmware as you wish and whenever you want to get back to the current one you can simply install it back on. Its just like changing clothes.:p
Froyo and GB have quite a difference in performance. Google has really made an upgrade here, you should checkout the Ice Cream Sandwich, its way better than even GB.

to clear up - Jusadas ICS (stands for Ice Cream Sunday) is not ICS. It is based on cyanagenmod based on android 2.3.7.

I would highly recommend it as it is awesome!
