I recently updated my TB via manual update here on this site. Firmware I'm running now is 1.66.305.2 Can I still root using manual method?

Root Can I still Root after recent update?

you maybe can follow the directions for non-root users in this thread to downgrade to 1.12.605.6: [HOWTO] Restore to stock for root users and non-root users UPDATED 5/17/2011 - xda-developers
this is intended i believe,for mr1 users,but it may still work for mr2,i dont know.
i would follow that thread and this one: [ROOT] MR1/OTA PermRoot + Unlock Bootloader - Safer/Easier 5/12/2011 - xda-developers
when mr2 is rootable,jcase will update that 2nd thread.
be forwarned,however,that if you are able to downgrade and root,youll be running rooted mr1(1.13.605.7) at the end of the root process. this could lead to update pestering from your phone until you install plainjane3,or one of the other roms based on 1.66.305.2
