I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and a 500 mB data plan through Vodafone in Germany. This means ca. 17 mB/day. All too often I'll navigate to a website that turns out to have embedded audio (which I won't know until I load the page) and although my Galaxy doesn't automatically start playback, it will apparently nonetheless load the audio files, immediately ballooning from an otherwise simple page (this happens even on Wikipedia Mobile, for instance) into a 40+ mB data expenditure.
Is there any way to turn this feature off? Or to set a cap on how large any individual page I'll allow my phone to load before prompting me to accept a larger amount (akin to the feature in Gmail where it won't show images unless specifically authorized to do so)?
Thanks.
